Once the drywall is measured, cut, and hung in place, it still needs to be completed. The next step of the drywalling process is to apply mud (joint compound) and tape to the butts of the drywall to have them join together. Once the last step is complete, mud/tape creates a smooth finish throughout the entire wall, making it seamless.
